Privacy Policy

• Account details — your email address and sign-in method, if you create an account.
• What you submit — the quotes, estimates, contracts, photos, screenshots, PDFs or text you give us to check or compare.
• Results — the check or comparison we produce, including the total, findings and questions to ask.
• Payment records — what you bought, the amount and its status. Card details are entered with our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Basic usage and technical information — for example which screens were used, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your network address used to prevent abuse of the free check. We don't record the text of your documents in usage data.
• A small cookie if you use RETREL without an account, so we can show you your result and apply the one-free-check-per-day limit.

• To produce the check or comparison you asked for.
• To save decisions to your account when you choose to.
• To process payments and unlock what you paid for.
• To prevent abuse, keep the service secure, and fix problems.
• To answer you when you contact Support.

To read your paperwork, RETREL sends what you submit to an AI model operated by a third-party provider, which processes it to produce the analysis you asked for and returns it to us.

RETREL provides informational decision support. It does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical or other professional advice. AI-generated results may be incomplete or incorrect — always verify important terms with the company or a qualified professional.

Files and text you submit are held in private storage while your check is processed. For standard checks, files are normally deleted when processing is complete, while temporary, abandoned, or retryable files are scheduled for deletion within approximately 24 hours. If you purchase a Full Check, files needed to complete your paid report may be retained for up to 7 days so processing can finish if you leave the page, and are then deleted. Text pasted into Compare Offers is kept for up to 24 hours so we can show exact quotes, then cleared. Your result itself is kept so you can come back to it.

More about your documents

We don't sell your documents or personal information. We share information only with services that help us run RETREL:

• our hosting and database provider;
• the AI provider that analyzes what you submit;
• Stripe, for payments;
• authentication providers such as Google or Apple, when you choose to sign in with them.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Saved results and decisions stay in your account until you delete them or delete your account. Results from checks run without an account are linked only to the cookie on that device. When you delete your account, we keep a record of past purchases (amount, date, status and payment reference) for accounting and fraud-prevention purposes, without linking it to your account. Stripe keeps its own payment records under its own policies.

• You can use RETREL without an account.
• You choose what to submit and what to save.
• You can delete your account from the Account page at any time.
• You can ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by contacting Support.

RETREL is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the date at the top.
