How we handle your documents

We can only tell you what a quote, estimate or contract says — and what it leaves out — by reading it. Your document is analyzed, partly by an AI model, to produce the check or comparison you asked for.

Your files or pasted text are uploaded to private storage that only RETREL's servers can read. Files are normally deleted once your check is ready. Temporary, abandoned or retryable files are scheduled for deletion within about 24 hours. If you buy a Full Check, files needed to finish your paid report may be kept for up to 7 days, then deleted. For Compare Offers, pasted text is kept for up to 24 hours so we can show exact quotes, then cleared.

Your result is tied to a small cookie on this device. If you clear cookies or switch devices, you won't be able to get back to it. Create an account to keep checks.

Saving keeps the result — the total, findings and questions — in your account so you can come back to it. If you attach files to a saved decision, they're stored privately in your account until you remove them or delete your account.

RETREL can miss things or misread a document. Before you sign or pay, confirm important terms with the company and, where it matters, a qualified professional.
